The under 14s secured another excellent win, claiming victory over Rossendale United Lads in a close contest at the Memorial Park. Goals from Phil Eatough and Jack Brown saw Rovers snatch the upper hand , but a penalty in the 35th minute meant that Rovers only held a 2-1 advantage at the break. When Eatough added his second and Greg Monk rose calmly to nod in a corner, Rovers appeared to be coasting. However, Rossendale managed to pull the score back to 4-3, setting up a frantic last 15 minutes, which saw Rovers dig deep to take the points 4-3. ( Author : Mark Pickup )

The U18s were away to a ten man Burnley Belevere, after a cautious start by the U18s Steven Marsden hit 40 yard freekick into the top corner, goals then followed from, Matt Mercer (1) , Usman Ahmed (1), Steven Skirlock (1) and Nick Ford claimed a goal after it deflected in off a Burnley Belevedere defender, all credit to the ten man Burnley side who battled to the final whistle. ( Author: Chris Rushton )
