Saturday morning saw the long awaited clash of the big cats, as the under 10s Panthers and Tigers did battle in the first competitive inter-Club league game in the history of Harwood Rovers. Unsurprisingly the pitch at the Memorial Park had a major influence on the shape game, as the Tigers (with downhill advantage)  stormed into a 3 goal lead at the break, courtesy of goals from Ryan McG (2) and  Jack Brown. The second half saw most of the pressure being applied by the Panthers as the Tigers struggled to hang onto their 3 goal lead. With 10 minutes remaining Joel Whittaker blasted the ball home to set up an exciting final quarter, and only 2/3 minutes were left on the clock when Chris Walne made it 3-2. However, to their credit, the Tigers hung on claiming all 3 the points having taken the chances they created. Referee's Man of the Match: Jack Brown. Final score: Panthers 2 Tigers 3.

The under 14s unbeaten run of 7 games was ended when they crashed to defeat at Peel Park against Huncoat United. Having conceded a goal in the first minute, Rovers battled for an hour to contain their strong opponents, but conceded 4 goals in the last 10 minutes as they ran out of steam under relentless pressure. Final score: Huncoat 5 Rovers 0.

The long haul across the border into Yorkshire to play Todmorden Colts. You could tell that the team had not played for nearly two weeks as they struggled to put away easy chances. Andy Bennett playing on the right wing for a change opened up the scoring to put the U18s in the lead. Just before half time Robert Wallace up ended a Todmorden player in the penalty area, this brought the score level going into the interval. In the second half both teams failed to put away their chances and it looked as though Todmorden were going to gain there first point of the season. A tactical substitution by the mangers changed the formation around and introduced two of the substitutes, Dave Anwar and Danny Smith for Steven Scurlock and Nick Ford. With ten minutes to go Dave Anwar tapped home the winner, Man of the Match Usman Ahmed was replaced by Paul Wilson. Final score 1 -2 the unbeaten run goes on.
