Melissa scoops F.A. award

Rovers' Melissa Wolstenholme has won a football workforce award for the fantastic work she does for the Club and her team. She's too modest to say so herself, but the Club submitted the following reasons when nominating Mel for the award.

"Melissa has been a key person in promoting girls football within the Club for the past 4 years. She provides an excellent role model for the youngsters in her under 13s team and everyone in the club through her dedication and hard work. She has bags of enthusiasm and never gives up, an inspiration to her team. She attends league and club meetings without fail and represents the face of girls football for Great Harwood Rovers. Throughout this time she has completed a full time degree and now commutes a long distance on a daily basis, and despite this has shown no decline her level of commitment, we are undoubtedly a better club through Melissa’s efforts and involvement. She fully deserves any accolade she may receive, a very worthy candidate".
