November 2008 Fulledge Colts home @ Lyndon House 10-15
ko
On a very foggy morning the
ref decided the game could go ahead because he could see
both goals from the half way line, a decision that both
managers agreed with. GHR kicked off against the league
leaders and the 1st 15 mins were very even with GHR
having the best chance when Joseph Starkie fired over
from 12 yards. On the 17 min Fulledge took the lead when
an hopeful cross was not dealt with by the GHR keeper
and the centre forward headed home from 2 yards 0-1. 5
mins later Fulledge got a 2nd with a shot from the edge
of the box 0-2. Fulledge were well on top now but 3 mins
from h/t GHR thought they were back in it when a James
Kenny shot found the back off the net only for the ref
to disallow it for hand ball and h/t arrived with the
score GHR 0 Fulledge Colts 2. The 2nd half was also very
even with GHR creating a couple of chances though Sam
Jones and Jack Holligan and Matthew Horman making a
couple of fine saves, with only 5 mins left and the
score till 0-2 GHR conceded 4 quick goals to make the
final score GHR 0 Fulledge Colts 6. The last 5 mins were
very harsh on the GHR lads who had matched the league
leaders in every department and can be very proud of
there performance.

In there first ever game
against Knuzden both teams scored goals galore in a very
entertaining game. The game kicked off with both teams
swapping possession until the 8th min when the ball
dropped at Joseph Starkie's feet in the penalty area who
duly found the bottom corner with a left foot shot 1-0.
Knuzden came firing back at GHR and between the 11th and
17th min scored 3 quick goals 1-3. GHR were shell
shocked but slowly started to get back into the game and
on the 25th min pulled 1 back with a sweet shot from Sam
Jones on the 28th min GHR were awarded a penalty after
Jack Holligan was brought down after a surging run, he
picked himself up to take the pen and sent the goalie
the wrong way to bring the half to a close with the
score GHR 3 Knuzden 3. The 2nd half got underway and
only a min in GHR took the lead after a smart finish
from James Kenny 4-3, just like the 1st half Knuzden

the lead 4-5. Both teams were scoring on every attack
now and in the 47th min GHR equalized though a Scott
