Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Wilpshire Wanderers  

The Great Harwood Rovers under 10ís played Wilpshire in a very entertaining game. GHR dominated possession in the first half and created chance after chance until eventually Kyle Parker scored a very good goal collecting the ball from the keepers kick and placing it over the keepers head into the net. GHR continued to push forward and hit the post and the bar but could not extend their lead. Wilpshire came back into the match and started to show some attacking intent but at half time the score remained 1-0.  Wilpshire came out in the second half all guns blazing and attacked GHR with keeper Matt Bunn making a succession of good saves and also hitting the woodwork on a couple of occasions. Eventually GHR succumbed to the Wilpshire pressure and Wilpshire grabbed a deserved equaliser. Both teams attacked each other looking for the decisive goal and again both teams came close hitting the post and bar. A very entertaining game played in very windy conditions finished with both teams taking a share of the points. Man of the Match Kyle Parker Final score GHR 1  Wilpshire 1

Rishton United Under 10ís v Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís 

The under 10ís played Rishton in the league on Saturday and ran out comfortable winners.  Great Harwood took the game to Rishton from the start attacking them at every opportunity. GHR won 8-0 with Man of the Match Jack Woodcock scoring a hatrick, Oliver cruse and George Ramsbottom scoring 2 and former Rishton player George Nightingale grabbing the other. Full time 8-0. Final Score - Rishton 0 GHR 8.

Pendle Forest White v Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís  

Great Harwood Rovers under 10ís played Pendle Forest White which saw their unbeaten run come to an end. PFW scored early on in the match from a corner were slack defending allowed an unmarked player to bundle the ball into the net. GHR rallied and equalised midway through the first half but again conceded a sloppy goal from another corner to leave the score at 2-1 at half time.GHR tried to force themselves back into the match and applied all the pressure in the second half only to be hit with a breakaway goal to make it 3-1 to PFW. Rishton United Under 10ís v Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís 

The under 10ís played Rishton in the quarter finals of the cup.  Great Harwood took the game to Rishton from the start attacking them at every opportunity. Only save after save from the Rishton goalkeeper kept them in the match. GHR should have been at least four up at half time but went into the interval at 0-0. Again GHR started the second half on top but to Rishtonís credit they fought hard and eventually forced GHR keeper Matthew Bunn into two good saves but from then on in GHR were always in control but unable to get past the excellent Rishton goal keeper. The game finished at 0-0 in normal time. It took a penalty from GHR Man of The Match George Ramsbottom to beat the Rishton goal keeper. Full time 1-0. Final Score - Rishton 0 GHR 1

Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Pendle Forest Green 

The under 10ís played against Pendle Forest Green for the second week running. A game that was much closer than the previous weeks match.GHR created most in the match and on reflection probably deserved the win. PFG goal keeper was in excellent form saving efforts from Cruse, Allen, Parker and Thompson before George Ramsbottom scored the only goal of the game direct from a corner. 27/10/07 Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Pendle Forest Green  

Great Harwood Rovers under 10ís played Pendle Forest Green in a very one sided game. GHR scores straight from the kick off with neat interplay down the right with Oliver Cruse crossing for Kyle Parker to score. Minutes later it was two when the same players combined for the latter to score his second chesting the ball into the net. Then defender Dominic Shephard won the ball in his own half went on a run down the right and cut in from the wing hitting an unstoppable shot to record his first ever GHR goal. George Nightingale followed that up with a brace before half time again Cruse being the provider for both goals. To finish the scoring in the first half Oliver Cruse went on a run through the middle to finish in style to make it 6-0 at half time. Pendle Forest rallied in the second half and pulled two goals back, G Nightingale then scored to record his first hatrick for GHR and George Ramsbottom came on to score a brace to complete the scoring. 20/10/07 Wilpshire v Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís  

The Great Harwood Rovers under 10ís played Wilpshire for the second time in two weeks in the cup and thoroughly deserved their win in a very entertaining game. GHR dominated possession in the first half and created chance after chance until eventually George Nightingale scored after a flowing move, he calmly placed his shot into the corner of the net to make it one nil at half time. Wilpshire came out in the second half all guns blazing and attacked GHR with keeper Matt Bunn making a succession of good saves. GHR caught Wilpshire on the counter attack with Kyle Parker crossing the ball for G Nightingale to claim his second of the game. GHR carried on pushing for a third Joss Boothman playing the ball through for Man of The Match George Ramsbottom to lob the keeper and finish the scoring off in style. 13/10/07 Wilpshire v Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís  

The Great Harwood Rovers under 10ís played Wilpshire in a very entertaining top of the table clash that finished with the points shared in a 1-1 draw. Wilpshire started much the stronger dominated possession in the first half without really creating any chances. GHR came more and more into the game as it progressed, GHR dominated the second half  and were caught on the break when Wilpshire scored. When slack defending allowed their player to cross the ball and some how the ball went in off the post. GHR carried on and never gave up and scored a great goal through Kyle Parker to make the score 1-1 at full time. Man of the Match Sam Allen. Final score Wilpshire 1 GHR 1

29/09/07 Clitheroe Wolves Blue v Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís

The under 10ís won again on Saturday with a 4-3 victory over Clitheroe Wolves Blue. GHR scored early in the first half with MOM Oliver Cruse netting his ninth goal of the season. But from then on in until the half time whistle it was all CWB who scored twice to get to half time 2-1 in front. Only some resolute defending by Sam Allen and Dominic Shephard and some excellent saves by goalkeeper Matt Bunn keeping the score at 2-1 in the first half. GHR scored early in the second half through G Ramsbottom and from that point on dominated the game with Kyle Parker scoring to make it 3-2 and then Oliver Cruse scoring his second to make it 4-2. CWB never gave up and scored a penalty with a couple of minutes remaining with GHR holding on to record their 5th win of the season. Man of the Match Oliver Cruse.

22/09/07 Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Rishton United Under 10ís

The under 10ís played Rishton in an eagerly awaited local derby.  Great Harwood took the game to Rishton from the start attacking with flair and precision. Only saves from the Rishton goalkeeper kept them in the match. Again the attacking play revolved around Oliver Cruse who set the first up for Man of The Match George Ramsbottom who finished well into the bottom left hand corner. Half time 1-0. The second half started much the same with GHR putting pressure on the Rishton defence. George Nightingale won the ball on the right played a neat one two with cruse, then fed a ball into Ramsbottomís feet the Rishton player pulled him down for a penalty. Ramsbottom got up dusted himself down and slotted the ball into the bottom right of the net 2-0. Still the GHR team carried the attack to Rishton and again it was cruse who ran down the right leaving the Rishton defenders for dead played a ball back to Nightingale who finished to round off the scoring. Final Score GHR 3 Rishton 0

15/09/07 Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Whalley Juniors  

The under 10ís returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 6-0 victory. GHR played some entertaining football with Man of The Match George Ramsbottom scoring 4 and George Nightingale scoring a brace. A special mention for Oliver Cruse who set four of the six goals up with his movement, stretching the Whalley team whilst creating space for his team mates to exploit!  Man of The Match George Ramsbottom.

Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Rossendale Valley Red 

The under 10ís played Rossendale Valley Red and very much like Saturdays result their play did not reflect the final score. GHR started much the stronger and totally dominated the first half scoring after 10 minutes through their Man of The Match George Ramsbottom after a determined run. GHR created several more chances in the first half but due to good goalkeeping and weak finishing the score remained 1-0 at half time. The second half started much as the first had finished with GHR on top, then RVR won a corner the defence did not react well and the ball some how went through the keepers legs into the net. Still GHR looked the more likely to score and after creating yet more chances RVR broke away and a tame shot again dribbled through the keepers legs to make the score 2-1 to the home team. RVR broke away again and their striker hit an unstoppable shot to make it 3-1. GHR came back strong G Ramsbottom played a neat ball to Oliver Cruse who finished to make it 3-2. GHR kept the pressure on but could not find a way through the resolute RVR defence, hitting the bar the post and again some good saves from the keeper. Final Score Rossendale Valley Red 3 GHR 2

08/09/07 Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Pendle Forest White

The under 10ís played Clitheroe Wolves Red and although the game finished as a draw the result did not reflect the amount of possession and attempts at goal GHR had. After going behind to an early goal in CWR first attack GHR recovered their composure and took total control of the game. Oliver Cruse scored to equalise and from that point in GHR laid siege to the CWR goals. Clitheroeís goalkeeper had a match to remember saving time and again thwarting Nightingale on numerous occasions then Cruse, Parker, Woodcock and Ramsbottom. GHR played some brilliant football but were unable to make their superiority count due to the CWR goalkeeper. Final Score GHR 1 Clitheroe Wolves Red 1

05/09/07 Church Juniors Under 10ís v Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís  

The under 10ís carried on there good start to the season with a well deserved 10-0 victory. GHR cruised to victory with five goals from inform striker Oliver Cruse. The first 10 minutes were hard fought as GHR tried in vain to get a break through. Then some neat interplay down the right and a first time cross from George Nightingale which found George Ramsbottom with a glancing header to open the scoring. Oliver then scored a first half hatrick with G Nightingale completing the scoring in the first half. Kyle Parker came on as a second half substitute and helped himself to a hatrick and Oliver scored a brace to complete the victory. Man of The Match Oliver Cruse.

01/09/07 Great Harwood Rovers Under 10ís v Pendle Forest White 

The under 10ís played their and the clubs first ever match at the new Lyndon House ground. Pendle Forest White started the game the stronger but failed to create any real chances due to some good defending by Dominic Shephard and Sam Allen. GHR took the lead on one of the few occasions in the first half that they ventured into PFW half. A clinical finish from their top scorer last season Oliver Cruse. The second half started much the same as the first with PFW piling on the pressure and it was nothing more than they deserved when they equalised. GHR responded well Jack Woodcock came off the bench and had an immediate impact and their man of the match George Ramsbottom restored their lead with a goal direct from a corner. Both sides created more chances as the game opened up in the closing minutes of the second half but the game finished 2-1. Final Score GHR 2 Pendle Forest White 1
