Accrington Stanley Jnrs
v Great Harwood Rovers
Harwood end the season on a
high against lge cup
winners.......Gt Harwood
started the game
as underdogs, with 3 first
team players missing and
playing arguably the best
team in the lge. It took
them a while to get going
and by this time they were 1
- 0 down with Accy playing
good football. Harwood made
a few changes in
positions and that payed off
instantly. They took the
game to Accy, hitting the
woodwork from Karl Sutton
and coming close on a couple
of ocassions from Jordan
Edmondson and Bradley Allen.
Accy came back at us again
and would have scored but
for stand in keeper and MOTM Arron
Phillipson, who made a
string of brilliant saves.
Then Gt Harwood got a break
through, good work from
Domonic O'Brien with a pass
down the line and Karl
Sutton hit a first time shot
looping over the keeper 1 -
1. Jack Hargreaves and
Billy Hargreaves were also
outstanding. Final Score

Gt
Harwood dig in to earn win
away.......Gt Harwood had to
come from a goal down to win
this game , they were half
asleep in the 1st half and
should have been behind more but
for great defending by Jack
Hargreaves. The 2nd half changes
were made and the introduction
of Jordan Edmondson in the
centre of midfield payed off, A
goal kick was flicked on by Karl
Sutton to Man of the Match
Hayden Moorcroft and he smacked
it in the bottom corner 1-1.
Harwood kept pushing and got
their rewards with a classy team
goal which started from another
goal kick by Jack Hargreaves to
Karl Sutton to Jordan Edmondson

Hayden Moorcroft. Final score

Gt Harwood
ran out comfortable winners in
sticky windy conditions playing
uphill against the wind first half
Harwood took the lead when Billy
Hargreaves capitalised on a
defencive error. Mellor equalised
against the run of play a good long
shot through a crowd of players
leaving Dominic O'Brien with little
chance of stopping the shot. This
spurred Mellor on for a time and but
for good defending from Jack
Hargreaves, MOTM Ryan Mitchell and
good saves from Dominic then Mellor
would of taken the lead. Harwood re
took the lead after good play down
the Right finally the ball came
across to Ronan Nixon to coolly slot
the ball home. Harwood dominated the
rest of the first half but failed to
add to their tally HT 1-2. The
second half was totally dominated by
Gt Harwood Bradley Allen came on and
Scored 2 well taken goals and Ronan
Nixon added 3 more to take his
personal tally to 4 for the day pick
off the bunch was when he was
through 1 on 1 with the keeper he
waited for the right moment to beat
him with a powerful drive. Harwood
pressed all through the half and
could of had more goals. In fairness
to Mellor they never gave up trying
to the final whistle.Final Score

Harwood have to settle with draw.....An away
fixture at Witton Park is never easy especially
in the wind and rain, but Harwood started the
brighter of the two teams with goals from Hayden
Moorcroft and Arron Phillipson, Just as it was
looking comfortable Akzo stepped up a gear to
make it 2 - 2 at half time, Shocked Harwood dug
in and scored a 3rd goal a left foot shot in the
top corner a 2nd from Arron Phillipson, Gt
Harwood should have gone on to win the game, but
Akzo wouldn't give up and they scored 2 quick
goals in the last 5 minutes, again a twist to
the game in the last minute Man of the Match

Belverdere
crushed by Harwood........Gt Harwood took about ten
minutes to get into the game on an unusually large 7
a-side pitch and in that time they were 1 goal down, as
soon as they got grips with the game they played some
good passing football and turned the game on it's
head, 1st Bradley Allen a sweet left foot shot and then
Karl Sutton with a right foot smash 2 - 1 Half time, The
second half it was 1 way traffic with Hayden Moorcroft
getting a well deserved Hat-Trick and Karl Sutton
grabbing a 2nd goal . Ronan Nixon and Jack Hargreaves
were outstanding at the back.

Blue Star made it 3-1 just before half time. The 2nd half
Blue Star caught us on the break and some sloppy defending
to make it 3-3 , Harwood decided they wern't happy with the

Gt Harwood started the
brighter of the two teams with a goal in the first minute, from MOTM
Bradley Allen. Harwood should have gone further ahead twice, but
for the heroics of the Huncoat keeper. Just on the stroke of half
time Huncoat grabbed an undeserved equaliser. In the second half Gt
Harwood kept pushing but couldn't find the net. Just when you
thought it was going to be a draw, Huncoat managed to score a
scrappy goal.

Huncoat Utd v Great Harwood Rovers U10's
Gt Harwood Rovers U10's
went down fighting to a physical Huncoat team in
very trying sticky conditions but the boys never let
their heads down and battled to the final whistle.
Huncoat pressed from the kick off but good defending
and excellent goal keeping from MOTM Dominic O'Brien
kept them at bay but eventually the pressure told
and Huncoat took the lead with a well executed
finish. Gt Harwood pressed at times and good work
earned a number of corners. Good team work and a
jink in to the area from Brandon Blackmore who was
fouled just as he was about to unleash a shot at
goal, Up stepped Aaron Philipson to take the
resulting penalty he struck and placed it well but
the keeper pulled off a fantastic save HT 1-0. The
second half saw more pressure from Huncoat and more
good defending especially Jack Hargreaves and Ryan
Mitchell. On the one occasion we did not clear the
ball and we were punished 2-0 still Rovers heads did
not go down and the introduction of Jordan Edmondson
lead to more Gt Harwood pressure and a scrambled
goal from Ronan Nixon 2-1 only minutes to go more Gt
Harwood pressure, a corner brilliantly flicked on by
Ryan Mitchell was well smothered by the keeper
before we could force it home. Everyone should be
proud of their performance.Well done Lads.

performance. Gt Harwood came up against very well organised Burnley side
that made life very difficult from the first whistle to the last, but we
got a break through midway in the first half from a penalty which was
well taken by Man of the Match Arron Phillipson. In the second
half Harwood went further ahead with a wonderful left foot strike by
Bradley Allen, Belvedere then grabbed 2 to scappy goals to level the
game and make it tense finish, but Gt Harwood wasn't finished their a
good shot by Billy Hargreaves the keeper fumbled it and up stepped super

way, Blue Star never gave up the fight. Harwood started the brighter with a
goal from Karl Sutton but Blue Star made it level with a well taken header,
2 or 3 clear cut chances went begging for Harwood but they coudn't finish
them off, then just before half time Bradley Allen broke free down the left
hand side and sent a through ball to Captain Karl Sutton who finished from a
tight angle with a thunder bolt shot, the second half again chances went
begging for Harwood then the last 5 min Blue Star put 4 players up front
throwing causion to the wind , Harwood only just coped with the pressure to
see the game to an end. Final Score Blue Star 1 Gt Harwood Rovers 2. Man

Harwood ease into the the 2nd

It was a chance to shine for
the players that dont usually start the game against a team from the 2nd
division, and they didnt disappoint as the team scored an emphatic 5 goals away
from home. And it was the (Roy Keane) of harwood and Man of the Match Jordan
Edmondson who was pulling all the strings in the centre of midfield, the goal
scorers were Bradley Allen 2, Arron Phillipson, Karl Sutton and the pick of the
goals was worked right through the team with a left foot cross and was finished
on the volley by Billy Hargreaves a classic team goal, 5 - 0 up and Darwen

Harwood's gritty performance
gets Accy on the back foot.
It was pleasing to see the
lads back at there best after 2 defeats in a row, a close contest in the first
half so both teams cancel each other out, the formation change by the
Harwood manager didn't upset them in the slightest they responded by giving the
performance of the season so far, In the second half Accy couldn't cope with
pressure a good strike by Billy Hargreaves the keeper fumbled it and in popped
Karl Sutton to Score his 4th goal of the season, Harwood should have made it 2
or 3 more but missed the chance to go further ahead, Accy then hit us on the
Break and scored 1 - 1, again 3 or 4 clear chances went begging and harwood
couldn't capitalise, Jack Hargreaves and Ryan Mitchell were rock solid at the
back.

third goal before Gt Harwood started putting pressure on 1-3 half time, In the
